Consignment Terms
When you send us an item, you appoint Unloadr to sell it on your behalf (“consignment”). You keep ownership until it sells; we handle listing, the buyer, payment, and getting you paid.
1. Our fee & what you get
We take a service fee of 30% of the final sale price. Your payout is the sale price minus that fee and minus any shipping you choose (the carrier's label cost plus a $0.10 label fee). Nothing is charged up front — fees come out of the sale only when your item sells.
2. Pricing
We suggest a price using our valuation tools and may adjust it to sell the item. The estimate shown when you submit is not a guarantee — your final payout is based on the actual sale price.
3. Shipping
When your item sells, you ship it using a prepaid label we provide, to the buyer's address. You agree to ship promptly and to pack the item adequately. The label cost and fee are deducted from your payout.
4. Payouts
We pay your net proceeds to the bank account you connect, after the sale completes. Payouts are made through Stripe; you authorize us to send your proceeds to your connected account.
5. Your representations
- You own the item (or are authorized to sell it) and have the right to consign it.
- The item is authentic — not counterfeit, replica, or stolen.
- The item is legal to sell and is not a prohibited item (e.g. weapons, drugs, hazardous goods).
- Your description and photos are accurate, complete, and not misleading — including disclosing every flaw, defect, or missing part you're aware of. Buyers purchase under the Unloadr guarantee, and its claims are judged against what you told us.
6. Items we can decline
We may decline, remove, or refuse to list any item at our discretion — including anything that fails our screening, can't be sold legally, or doesn't meet our quality or policy standards. We'll let you know if we can't accept an item.
7. Returns, refunds & disputes
If a buyer is refunded or wins a payment dispute, the sale is reversed. If you've already been paid out for that item, you agree to repay the corresponding amount, and we may offset it against future payouts.
8. Not-as-described claims (the Unloadr guarantee)
Every sale is backed by the Unloadr guarantee: a buyer may report an item that is materially different from its listing within 3 days of delivery, with photos. On the seller side, that works like this:
- Accurate description is your duty. The guarantee exists to back honest listings. What we publish is built from the photos and details you give us — if something is wrong, incomplete, or missing from them, that's on you, not the buyer.
- Upheld claims reverse the sale. If we uphold a buyer's claim, the sale is reversed and treated under Section 7 — you repay any payout already made for that item, or we offset it against future payouts. The item is shipped back to you with the return label we provide.
- Label costs stay yours. On a reversed sale, the outbound label cost already deducted is not refunded to you, and any return-label cost we can't recover from the buyer's refund may be deducted from or offset against your payouts.
- Repeat misdescription ends the account. A pattern of upheld not-as-described claims is a breach of these terms: we may terminate your account and decline your future consignments.
- Our determination is final. We judge every claim against the listing and the evidence, and our decision on whether an item was materially misdescribed is final.
9. Withdrawing an item & final sales
You can withdraw an item any time before it sells — including while it's live for sale — straight from your My items page. Once a buyer has paid for it, the sale is final. The item is committed to that buyer and can no longer be withdrawn, and you agree to ship it promptly with the prepaid label we provide. If you believe there's a genuine problem with a completed sale, contact us and we'll help where we can.
10. Liability
We handle your items with reasonable care, but to the extent permitted by law our liability for any item is limited to its sale price (or our reasonable valuation if unsold). We aren't liable for loss or damage in carrier transit beyond the shipping label's included coverage.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in effect when you submit an item is the version that applies to that item, and we record which version you agreed to.
By submitting an item on Unloadr, you agree to these Consignment Terms.
