Privacy Policy
Unloadr (“we”, “us”) helps people sell their things: you snap a photo, we price it, list it, and handle the buyer; when it sells, you ship it with a prepaid label we buy for you, and we pay you out. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Unloadr you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and login credentials (handled by our auth provider).
- Items you submit — the photos, descriptions, and details of items you ask us to sell.
- Fulfillment information — for sellers, the address you ship from; for buyers, the name, shipping address, and email captured at checkout so the order can be delivered.
- Payment & payout information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store card numbers or bank details; we keep only opaque references needed to charge fees and send payouts.
- Buyer contact details you choose to leave — on our shop you can make an offer on an item, ask to be emailed when something comes back in stock, or leave a review. Each of those collects the email address (and any message or review text) you provide, so we can respond and follow up about that item.
- Usage & device data — basic technical data (e.g. log and session data) needed to run and secure the service.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service — identify and price items, create listings, process sales, generate shipping labels, and pay sellers.
- To communicate with you about your items, orders, and payouts.
- To send the follow-ups you ask for — offer updates, back-in-stock alerts, and review confirmations. You can stop these at any time: reply to any email we send and tell us, or write to us (see Contact below), and we'll stop.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and prohibited items, and to comply with the law.
- To improve the service.
3. AI processing
To identify and price an item, we send its photos and details to our AI provider (OpenAI). They process this on our behalf to return an identification, suggested price, and listing content; we don't use your data to train third-party models.
4. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers — payments and payouts (Stripe), shipping labels (Shippo), AI (OpenAI), hosting and storage (Supabase), email (Resend), and the marketplaces where we list items, each only with what they need.
- Buyers and sellers — fulfillment details (such as a shipping address) are shared with whoever ships or receives the item.
- Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and against fraud.
- Business transfers — if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then as required to meet legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information — including encryption of sensitive tokens and access controls. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
7. Your choices & rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account information, and request a copy of your data, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
8. Cookies
We use only the cookies and similar storage needed to keep you signed in and to run the service.
9. Children
Unloadr is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Your continued use means you accept the changes.
